Roman ceramic antefix
Triangular antefix with moulded design: LEGXX in the centre, with a running boar below it and above it a bust, wearing a crown or headdress. The flange by which the antefix was kept in position on the eaves is broken off.
Ceramic atefix (roof decoration) of the Twentieth Legion, 75-250 CE. Found at Holt, north-east Wales. The legion was stationed at Chester.
