Completed January 1960 by Smith’s Dock, South Bank on Tees (6-cylinder Doxford diesel engine by Hawthorn Leslie, Hebburn), for BP Tanker Co., London – chartered to Clyde Charter Co Ltd. (o/n 301042). 1972 – Returned outright to BP Tanker Co., London. 1976 – Transferred to BP Oil Development Co., converted to an Offshore Support Ship, and renamed FORTIES KIWI. 1982 – Renamed COLTAIR. 1986 – Sold to Waterloo Shipping Co., Malta (Polembros Shipping Ltd., London), and renamed KITTY, (now weighing in at 11019gt). Laid up from February 1986 to April 1989 at River Blackwater, Essex. She arrived at Alang in in May 1989 and was broken up. (teesbuiltships.co.uk/smiths/19451987/britishkiwi1960)
