Tournai Porcelain Factory (porcelain factory, founded 1750 by François Joseph
Peterinck)
Pot and cover, hard-paste porcelain, barrel-shaped, flat cover with an acorn finial and a spoon hole and a steam hole, footring, (broken handle); the rim of the pot and the cover are moulded with a border in relief of a loop pattern and overpainted with a blue band and leaf sprigs beneath, the footring is banded with a blue line border, the body is painted with a tree in a landscape and insects and flower sprigs all in underglaze blue.
