Teapot and cover, Böttger brown stoneware, octagonal, standing on a very shallow rim, panelled body, elaborate scroll handle, and strutted bird's head spout terminating in a mask, conical shaped cover with pagoda finial, dark brown glaze, decorated in lacquer colours and gilt with flower sprays separated by green bands, gilt panel decoration to cover, gilding to spout.
