Jug
Jug, pearlware, standing on a narrow rounded spreading foot-rim, globular body, cylindrical neck, plain beak spout, angular scrolled handle; transfer-printed in underglaze blue with around the exterior body of the jug a hunting scene showing a man with a gun, dogs and a cottage, around the exterior neck and spout a border of leaves and flowers, a pattern of chevrons and stylized leaves to the handle, the transfer-printed areas protected by a resist and the exterior of the jug covered with pink lustre, a white band around the shoulder, a pink lustre band around the interior lip-rim and spout. A crack to one side of the body.
