Albert Medal, Land, Second Class. Bronze Albert medal awarded to Robert Ralph Williams. Oval medal on red and white ribbon. Monogram on one side surmounted by a crown with words 'FOR GALLANTRY IN SAVING LIFE ON LAND' in garter around. Engraved on reverse of medal. In a red presentation box with insignia of George V on front.
Awarded to Robert Ralph Williams, O.B.E., M.A., Director of Education for the Rhondda, when headmaster of Clydach Vale school, for gallantry in the Clydach Vale flood disaster of 1910.
