LINEN, unbleached, embroidered with coloured wools, chiefly in cross stitch. At the top is a badly worn inscription, of which only the words "father . . . the . . hands." can be read. The name "Elizabeth W", worked in mercerised cotton, appears to have been added later. Below is a representation of Adam and Eve and the Tree of Knowledge flowering plants and dogs. There is a border of a wavy stem with strawberries. Worked about 1835 at a ladies' school, Caernarvon.
