Early Iron Age bronze socketed axe
Complete axe with a heavy collar, though not with as pronounced bi-conical form as many. The lower mouth moulding is parallel with the top loop insertion on one face only. The axe has diverging sides and a splayed form. The mouth plan is back-to-front. There are no decorative ribs or roundels. The loop is wide. the axe has been cast in a poor mould as indicated by irregular surfaces.
