Plate
Pollard, William (1803 - 1854)
Plate, porcelain, standing on a tapering straight-sided foot ring, double-ogee profile, shaped rim comprising six bracket-shaped lobes gadroon-moulded at the edge; enamelled with an apple green ground on the rim and the royal arms in the centre, an elaborate gilding pattern round the edge of the well, gilding on the gadroon moulding. The green ground is pitted and speckled, as is the glaze on the underside and the underside of the foot ring, indicating that the plate has been refired.
