Mug, soft-paste porcelain, standing on a rounded slightly spreading foot-rim, barrel-shaped body flaring outwards slightly at the mouth, ridged loop handle with the upper and lower terminals curling outwards; painted in underglaze blue with to one side of the exterior body a Chinese-style scene showing pagodas, rocks, a fence, a flowering shrub and trees, to the other side of the exterior body a smaller Chinese-style scene showing a pagoda, rocks and trees, cell border on a blue ground to the exterior lip-rim, a small blue scroll design to the handle and blue markings to the terminals.
