Solon, Louis Marc Emanuel (1835-1913)
Plate, creamy body, very shallow foot rim, centre with a dark green medallion, decorated in white pate sur pate with a standing putto, lightly draped leaning to the left over a tripod stand and with a knife cutting open a heart, within a beaded frame and a wreath of scrolls and foliage, all in relief gilding; ground strewn with gilt stars, rim bearing a foliage trail between line borders.
