Pot-lid
Pot-lid, earthenware, circular shape with cylindrical flange and convex top; the upperside of the lid decorated with an underglaze polychrome transfer-print of 'The Blue Boy' (although this title is not recorded on the lid), showing a boy dressed all in blue and holding a plumed hat, standing in a rural landscape with a distant cottage, the print extends to the edges of the lid with no border around it. The glaze crazed.
