R.Y. BRITANNIA, negative

Royal Yacht. Built 1953 by John Brown & Co Ltd., Clydebank, and commissioned January 1954. She was crewed by volunteers of the Royal Navy, supplemented by a platoon of Royal Marines when members of the Royal Family were on board. She was decommissioned in December 1997, and is currently on public display, permanently moored at Edinburgh’s Ocean Terminal.
