Dillwyn & Co., Cambrian Pottery (1811 - 1817 and 1824 - 1850)
Pouch shaped jug of creamy earthenware, standing on an octagonal foot rim, the body, bulbous at the base and ribbed to form broad, slightly convex panels, tapering at the neck, forming an undulating indentation, then flaring to form a wide spouted mouth with an asymmetrically lobed lip rim; high looped ogee handle extending above lip rim with vertical thumb spur, foliate moulding and scrolled lower terminals; the whole, with a pale powder-blue glaze, applied with relief mouldings in white, the lower body with three nosegays of flowers including roses and tulips, the neck, with two sprays of grapes and vine leaves.
