Roman copper alloy bracelet
Bracelet formed of a single piece of bronze wire. Each end was bent round to form at least three, probably more, loops before being wound round the opposite terminal. The loops of the two strands were adjusted to lie back to back to form a decorative, non expanding fastening. For bracelets with similar non expanding fastenings made by coiling the ends of wire see several examples from Richborough.
