Late Upper Palaeolithic backed blade
An abruptly-backed point. This tool has a straight, unmodified blade length and a steeply retouched backing. It has been retouched to a slight shoulder and the straight edge has abrupt, steep retouch until the break across the piece. The tip is broken. The unmodified length has several chips removed from its ventral surface suggesting more recent damage.
