Baker, Bevans and Irwin, Glamorgan Pottery (1813-1839)
Bowl, earthenware, standing on a rounded waisted foot, the lower body with short concave sides, then rising to rounded curving sides in the upper body; transfer-printed in blue with to the exterior sides of the bowl the 'Haymaker' pattern, in the foreground a female figure rakes hay whilst behind her several male figures create a haystack, in the background are trees, a house and fields, a flower head and dot border to the exterior lip-rim, a spray of flowers to the interior bottom of the bowl, wide border to the interior lip-rim of sprays of flowers on a dotted ground.
