Late Bronze Age pottery vessel
Vessel of hard, coarse fabric containing moderate density quartz inclusions up to 3mm across. Buff/brown external surface, dark brown internal surface and dark brown/black core.. It is comparable with vessels from the Unit 4 Post Deverel-Rimbury assemblage at Brean Down, dated to between the 11th and 9th centuries BC (Woodward, 1990). Probably the same vessel as 86.55H/1.1.
