Woollen canvas ground, embroidered with coloured silks in cross and four-sided stitch. Herringbone border in cross stitch. At top: in three rows, upper case alphabet; cushion, windmill, key, ring, anchor, house and other motifs; alphabet and Welsh alphabet vowels in lower case. In centre: basket of flowers, parrot on a perch, sword, crown and other motifs. At bottom: maker's name and date (Catherine Truran. 1842) in four-sided stitch flanked by two butterflies.
