Roman samian bowl, decorated
Good ware and slip. Transitional decoration. Upper frieze : small tendril pattern, as B.M.C., M1135. Lower frieze : divided into panels by floral ornaments, a so as B.M.C., 1135, to which this bowl is a close parallel. S objects : ? lion r. (D.750) and dog l. (? D.935 - AVSTRVS), over foliated tendrils (Brecon Gaer, S115), remainder indeterminate.
