Middle Bronze Age bronze palstave
A palstave butt end fragment, without blade end, of narrow and looped form (broken loop). Pronounced flanges, deepest at the stop. The stop has a gradual rather than pronounced slope, therefore this is not a Late palstave. In side view, the flanges form a near straight line, rather than being markedly curved. There is a single midrib below the stop. The septum is narrow.
