Dessert dish, soft-paste 'duck egg' porcelain; standing on a rectangular shaped foot rim curving into rounded sides with an everted, shaped lip, each edge consisting of two concave curves, and indented corners; twig handles with raised foliate terminals; painted with a Japan pattern of red and pink flowers in the centre among green, red, and underglaze blue foliage, within a thin underglaze blue rectangular line; an arabesque shaped border of rich underglaze blue inset with red shaped medallions; gilt band to the lip and gilt detail to the handles.
