KENILWORTH CASTLE (9916gt) : Built 1944 as EMPIRE WILSON by Chas. Connell & Co. Ltd., Glasgow for MoWT (managed by Stanley & John Thompson). 1946 – Sold to Union-Castle Mail Steamship Co Ltd., and renamed KENILWORTH CASTLE. Passenger accommodation was reduced from 36 to 12 in 1952. She was sold to Hong Kong Chiap Hua Manufactory for scrapping in 1967, and was towed to Kaohsiung, Taiwan to be broken up in the December.
