Medieval pottery jug
Jug in light red fabric with an olive green glaze externally. Decoration is in the form of strips and dots and is in dark brown, however, it has the appearance of having been achieved with an extra thick application of glaze rather than with clay. This example has a spout approaching the parrot-beak form, a feature developed in the late 13th century.
