Plate, eight notches to rim, recessed foot ring. Transfer printed in underglaze blue with the 'Oriental ruin' print showing a ruined Italianate building on an island in the middle ground, palm trees and willows on either side in the foreground, two Chinese men in foreground one with parasol the other with fishing rod. Border pattern of palm trees and elongated acanthus leaves? Rim chip.
