writing desk with a lift up sloping lid enclosing three small drawers with a single long darwer (later) below; flanked by applied split colums on a stand with (an added) single drawer raised on square legs with corner spandrels united by a H- shaped stretcher; missing handles to drawer; the desk in it's present form was probably constructed c.1760 by adapting an earlier writing slope; lock not original, said to have belonged to Arthur Blayney, Gregynog Hall c.1760-95
