Mug, soft-paste porcelain, inset base, barrel-shaped body with ribbed bands around the upper and lower body, plain loop handle, round domed cover with a band of ribbing and moulded prunus decoration around the top, to the centre a finial, the cover fitted with a silver rim attached by a hinge to a silver ring around the top of the handle; decorated in underglaze blue with around the top, centre and bottom of the exterior body of the mug three bands of lambrequin ornament, a similar band around the rim of the cover, the top of the finial picked out in underglaze blue. A large chip missing from one side of the lip-rim of the mug.
