Cream jug
Cream jug, pale buff earthenware, blued and crazed pearl-glaze, slight orange translucency, high foot ring, triangular in section, pear-shaped body, lower part moulded with flutes, upturned sparrow-beak spout, and loop handle; printed in underglaze blue with a chinoiserie 'willow' pattern, comprising a bridge with one figure, willow and apple trees, a pagoda, lattice fence and houses, circular reserve of two figures in the foreground, border of hexagonal diapers, fish-roe panels, moths and folliate scrolls around the lip.
