Plate, pearlware, circular shape with inset base, curving sides and spreading rim, the rim moulded with a basketwork border surmounted by a band of oval perforations, a shaped edge to the rim; painted in polychrome enamels with to the centre of the well a rural scene showing a female figure carrying a bundle of sticks, a child and a dog walking along a dirt track with a fence, trees and distant mountains behind, a violet band to the edge of the well, the basketwork border to the rim painted green, the perforations outlined in violet.
