Within a niche symbolic of the friary, St John the Baptist standing by the waters of the Jordan, bearded and wearing the skin of a camel - its head hanging at his feet, and holding the Agnus Dei. On his left kneels the guardian, above whom a scroll inscribed : s. ioh' ora p' me. Cabled borders.
