Built 1909 by Ateliers et Chantiers De France, Dunkerque (Dunkirk) for Cie. Des Chargeurs Français - Plisson & Cie., Paris as the ss SYBIL. Purchased 1931 by Constants Ltd, Cardiff ; named WALDINGE Sold to Lusi Ltd. (Greece) in 1937 and renamed KOLCHIS. On the 23rd November 1940 when on route from Sorel for Sydney and then on to Belfast and Cardiff carrying a cargo of grain she was torpedoed by German submarine U-123 in the North Atlantic and sunk with a loss of 37 lives.
