Jug, earthenware, standing on a rounded spreading foot-rim, globular body, cylindrical neck, plain beak spout, angular scrolled handle; transfer-printed in underglaze blue with around the exterior body of the jug a hunting scene showing two male figures, one holding a gun and one holding a hare, dogs and trees, around the exterior neck and spout a border of leaves and flowers, a pattern of chevrons and stylized leaves to the handle, the transfer-printed areas protected by a resist and the exterior of the jug covered with pink lustre, the interior lip-rim and spout and the handle edged in pink lustre. A crack to the lower body.
