Goffering iron
Goffering iron, with a pointed head on a twisted steel stem, broken at extreme end. This iron was found in Kennixton farmhouse.
The iron would have been heated in the fire and inserted into a goffering iron stand, also known as an Italian (or tally iron) to create frills and ruffles.
