Small cup of hard-fired coarse red earthenware, standing on an uneven base and foot rim, cylindrical body, tapering slightly toward neck then flaring and ending in an uneven lip rim; simple roughly moulded loop handle; the exterior and interior covered with a lustrous very dark brown glaze; the body tightly ribbed in concentric bands with horizontal ribbing to handle; extensive restoration to neck, over-painted in black.
