Sauce-boat
Sauce-boat, soft-paste porcelain with clear glaze, flaring foot with open boat-shaped body and large, gently sloping lip, the handle with a square profile at the bottom, a gently curving upright section and thumb spur; moulded gadrooning along the edge of the foot with vertical fluting to body, three reserve panels with moulded borders, a large one either side of the body and a smaller one beneath the lip, gently scalloped rim, painted in underglaze blue enamels with choinoiserie scenes of a fisherman on one side and a figure in a boat on the opposite side, chinoiserie-stlye flowers either side of the handle and spout, with an additional spig of leaves on the underside of the spout, with a flower and leaves beneath, scrolling patterns to vertical of handle and a border of radiating suns in squares to the rim, the inside of the spout lip is painted with a diaper pattern with leaves and a scrolling pendant, the interior of the boat is decroated with a large flowering plant..
