Roman copper alloy crossbow brooch
Rectangular tubular catchplate with a side opening, from a large cross-bow brooch. The front is plain and flat with chamfered edges and two transverse grooves across the end. Part of the chamfered bow survives, projecting from a flange. Condition: fragment.
