Roman pottery vessel
A black-slipped beaker sherd with enbarbotine figural decoration in the shape of a goose. This is probably Caerleon ware, imitating form Dr 37 (photographed) From the same context: 2 grey ware pot lid sherds, a black burnished ware pot lid sherd and a red ware pot lid sherd; 2 grey ware flanged bowl sherds; 2 conjoining grey ware dish sherds; a red ware carinated vessel sherd; 3 red ware flagon sherds (2 conjoining); 7 red ware jar sherds and 5 red ware flanged bowl sherds.
Dr 37 is a hemispherical decorated bowl
