Handwritten copy of Board of Trade enquiry into the abandonment of the barque General Picton after her cargo of coal had caught fire, held at Liverpool, 18 Jan., 1890. Written on four sides of single sheet of folded paper.
Sailing vessel GENERAL PICTON (1199 reg tons). Built by S.P. Austin & Son, Sunderland and owned by Thomas Morris of Aberystwyth. Her master in 1884 was Captain John Williams.
