Plate, buff coloured earthenware, circular shape with inset base, curving sides and spreading rim; covered all over with a white tin-glaze, this then painted in dark blue with to the centre of the well a highly stylized Chinese-style scene showing a pagoda amidst a landscape of trees and bushes, the scene enclosed by a circular blue band, a border to the rim of blue leaves within reserved panels alternating with stylized flower heads on a blue ground, a brown edge to the rim, the edge of the rim chipped in places.
