Lament in memory of Griffith Ellis, Yswain, 1861
Marwnad y diweddar, Griffith Ellis Yswain. A nine page lament in memory of Griffith Ellis of Hafotty Dinorwic and former head superviser of Llanberis quarry which was composed by Robert Hughes (Robert Wyn) of Bangor in 1861. The lament refers to characters working in the Dinorwig Quarry and of the areas surrounding Llanberis. The lament was awarded first prize in the Dinorwic & Llanberis literature meeting held on the 16th November 1861.
