Dillwyn & Co., Cambrian Pottery (1811 - 1817 and 1824 - 1850)
Small plate, earthenware, incised foot rim, rounded sides, flaring to form rim; the rim moulded with six panels, each having four lobes, twenty four in total, giving a wavy edged effect, the panels alternately containing raised moulding of a dove holding an olive branch in its beak or a floral motif with a smaller flower head either side; painted in the centre in purple/pink lustre with a ruined tower, tall trees either side with fencing and boulders in the foreground; purple lustre band surrounding central decoration and around outer waved rim.
