Circular plate, thickly potted, foot ring, smooth shallow well, very broad rim. White body, covered in a thick silky matt glaze, finely crazed. Central relief underglaze black slip design of the silhouette of a lively terrier like dog or Dog of Fo reaching downwards, open mouthed showing flame like tounge. Glaze finely bubbled over the dog, giving it a black velvet like appearance. Blue/grey spotting, especially on underside; crazing stained brown.
