Dish of soft-paste porcelain with slightly greenish translucency and 'moons' (spots of lighter translucency); circular, standing on a slightly tapering ground foot rim, with plain curved sides and scalloped rim; painted inside in Kakiemon style in red, green, yellow, blue and purple enamels, with two sprigs and one bouquet of stylised cherry blossom, two isolated flower sprigs, a flower(?) in the centre, a cricket and several blue butterflies; the rim lined in chocolate brown; three stilt marks under the base.
