Goblet, glass, set in a gilt metal foot which replaces the original glass one, stem with basal collar, short plain section and facet-cut knop to the top, ogee bowl with cut facets around the lower part, the bowl wheel-engraved with a complex design showing to one side a head and shoulder profile of Frederick the Great flanked by the figures of Peace and Justice, around the rest of the bowl are rococo panels containing battle scenes and inscriptions in German (see comments) and further symbolic figures with military trophies, a gilt band around the lip-rim, round domed cover cut with oval facets around the top, to the top a facet-cut finial, the rim of the cover wheel-engraved with battle scenes and military trophies, a gilt band around the top of the cover, the top of the finial painted with gilt.
