Roman leather offcut
Fragment of a strip, originally 50mm wide, cut longitudinally for most of its length (min. 170mm) into eight or more narrow strips, as thongs ready for use, presumably. Also many loose fragments of thongs or laces (up to 430mm) formed of thin strips more or less rounded, deliberately or in use.
