Candelabrum
Candelabrum, soft-paste porcelain, in the form of a figure of Pysche, elaborate rococo base moulded with shells and c-scrolls and with 3 c-scroll supports, the figure of Pysche seated upon the raised back of the base, the figure in the form of a young girl partially covered by flowing draperies falling from a band around one arm and from her hair, around the body of the figure is a sash with applied moulded flower heads, a further group of applied moulded flower heads to the hair, to one side of the figure hangs a moulded basket filled with applied moulded flower heads, it is possible that the basket once had a handle which has now broken off, to either side of the figure, supported by her hands, extend two candleholders with curving shafts with c-scroll moulding, and sconces moulded in the form of flower heads with spreading foliate moulded collars; the figure painted in naturalistic enamels with realistically painted face and hair, the draperies painted in pink, green and gilt, the moulded applied flowers painted in pink, yellow, orange and green, the base and the candleholders picked out in gilt and green.
