Plate, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a straight-sided foot-rim, curving sides and spreading rim; the centre of the well finely painted in polychrome enamels with a scene showing a Chinese-style figure holding a walking stick and umbrella and standing in an oriental landscape with a palm tree and pagoda-like building, to the rim a border of a puce band and a band of gilt sprigs interlacing over a green band, a dentil border to the edge of the well and the edge of the rim of a gilt dot-and-dash pattern over underglaze blue.
