Cooking-pot crane
One movement cooking pot crane,from Llangadog. The crane has a bevelled vertical shaft and a slightly decorated parallel brace. The flat horizontal arm has curved decoration and a single scroll terminal. The pot-hook has six positions. These were common in Wales from the 1600s until the 1950s. They allowed pots to be moved closer or further away from the fire.
