Saucer dish, pearl-glazed earthenware, foot ring, centre realistically painted in enamels with a dark brown 'Starling' (inscribed on reverse), white spotted, facing right and standing on a patch of earth with a tuft of grass to the right. Gilt rim, two badly discoloured restorations to the rim.
