Dillwyn & Co., Cambrian Pottery (1811 - 1817 and 1824 - 1850)
Jug, ovoid body, cylindrical neck and narrow lip, chinoiseriesque handle with curved upper section, angular ear shaped handle. Body, with a continuous transfer printed in underglaze blue of an Oriental ruin print of an Italianate building an island, willow trees to left; two small chinoiserie men, one with parasol, one with fishing rod, palm trees to right. Brown enamelled rim and handle edges. Neck border pattern of flowers and landscape vignettes. Handle has been stuck back on, chips around rim.
